It’s bright and early here. P is still sleeping and I’m sitting on the edge of the bed praying this stupid internet connection will allow me to stay on for longer than four minutes. I haven’t been able to see my comments or go to your blogs, but I will soon.
The rest of yesterday turned out to be good. After Starbucks we went to the grocery store where P met up with us- with “purple hair” as she called it. She got the bottom dyed a brown, but as it turned out, it wasn’t exactly brown. I think it looks fine, but I know how it is to be starting school and wanting to look your best.
Anyway, after the hair trauma, we decided to stay in. P loves hummus but had never had a whole chickpea, so for dinner we opted for a big salad complete with whole chickpeas for extra fiber and protein. During dinner we opted to watch what every girl wants to watch on a girls weekend.
A big sappy chick flick, right?
Ha.
We watched The Shooter.
I guess we’re not all that conventional.
Afterwards, we decided a girl’s weekend wouldn’t be complete without a big bucket of ice cream (ha, yeah, because that will help me shed some pounds after yesterday’s weigh in!).
We scooped up the pups and drove to Baskin Robbins. When we got home we watched some CSI and totally embarrassed ourselves but eating almost half a quart of ice cream.
Each.
Afterwards we ended up bringing the laptop into the bedroom and putting my “Rain” playlist on loop so it actually seemed like we were sleeping right through the middle of a rain shower. It was so relaxing. I got a text from Will around 2 something saying he was in DFW.
Can I vent for a minute!?
thanks.
Why are guys so insensitive sometimes!?
The text wasn’t, “I’m in DFW. I love you!”
or, “I’m in DFW. Hope you’re doing okay.”
It was just, “I’m in DFW.”
I was so annoyed. Here I am back in Kuwait and already missing him like crazy, and get such an impersonal text message. Why can’t guys think like women every once in a while!? Life would be a lot easier sometimes.
So, here it is, Friday morning. I think P is going to take me shopping today. I’m looking forward to it. I’m in desperate need of new summer clothes and she’s just the girl to take me shopping. I swear, she’s the next Stacy London. I’m looking forward to getting out today. Plus, we’re off tomorrow for Labor Day too so that’s exciting!
Just felt like writing. Nothing exciting, just felt the need!
More to come…

Well, as I suspected my internet only held up for a few minutes and now I have to repost this! Me and P are off to the mall. I’m so excited, and at the same time I feel all silly because my little sister is telling the big sister what she needs to be wearing- shouldn’t it be the other way around!?! Seriously.
Have a great day and I’ll write soon!
