I'm Mrs. Oh My Gosh That Brittny's Shameless

Thursday Confessions

1. I went to DC on Wednesday- for just one night- and have yet to unpack my bag a whole week later.

2. I made brownies last weekend just for the heck of it. I got the amazing and trashy ones and even slathered them in chocolate frosting. Hello fatness!

I made them Friday night and they were gone Sunday night.

Two days.

Two people.

You do the math.

I feel my teeth rotting and my butt growing just confessing that.

3. I’ve eaten more of Will’s birthday cake than he knows, but since I serve it to him he has no idea. Shhh! Geez I’m so fat.

4.(Ha! After sharing all my food fatness confessions) I think I’m going to run a 5k this October. I really want to do it but I’m afraid I’m not going to be able to run 3 straight miles between now and October (um without going into cardiac arrest, that is). I always do the elliptical and never run. I want to do this and challenge myself- and change up my workout- but at the same time I have this fear that I won’t be able to do it. Sigh- okay that was a sad confession! Let’s end on a good one.

5. I washed my hair last Wednesday and put a freaking TON of hairspray in it so I could wear it nice and curled Thursday while I was on my trip without having to wash it.

And I did just that- and wore it Friday too.

And Saturday.

And Sunday.

Yes. I really did do that. Perhaps I can say it’s because I’m “going green?”

Hey- this is about confessions, right?

Need to get something off your chest?

I ate an entire freaking bag of cheddar Chex Mix!  But the bag said “60% Less Fat”, so it’s all good.  Right?
My husband’s birthday was Monday and I’ve definitely eaten more of his cake than he has, as well.  In fact, a family of 4 (one of us being only 3 years old, another being only 6 weeks old, so, you know, no cake for him) has polished off a 9x13 pan of cake in 3 days.
Your hair confession made me laugh hysterically.  smile

oh please honey! I do “leftover hair” more than I care to admit! Plus a little baby powder and blowdryer and really extend the life of leftover hair!

I got a proposition for you.  Instead of running the 5 K in October, come down and help out with the Spirit of Survival.  Kevin and I are on the executive council and we can always use more help.  The weekend is more work than the run is.  We always say that we should run it because it would be less work to run the 26.2 mile marathon then all the work we do...... If not if you are coming to SOS for the 5 K, let me know.  I will look out for you.

PS my kapka word is movement, way weird huh?

Good for you!  Signing up for the 5K - that’s awesome.  I REALLy (desperately!) need to do that.

Confession #1 - I haven’t been to the gym since MAY.  MAY!  Bad.  Seriously bad.  Our condo gym opens on Saturday, so I’m telling myself I’ll go then smile

Confession #2 - we bought a wine rack on Sunday.  We how have 4 wine racks.  Seriously - it’s a problem.  Especially now because we have to buy wine to fill the rack wink

!!! We’ll run everyday I’m with you and everyday you’re in Chicago. Deal? It’ going to be miserable, but we’ll endure. Okay? I’m not joking. There will be no “I FORGOT MY PHONE” moments.

I wish I could run too, but I have the joints of a 90 year old woman and can barely walk one mile without feeling like my hips/knees/ankles are about to fall apart.  How am I so old? Ugh!

But you can do it!!!  Do the couch to 5K program!  I started it once, but then I couldn’t walk for a few days because my knees hurt so bad....but you probably wouldn’t have that problem...haha Let us know if you decide to do it!

So much to talk to you about today!  First of all, I hate, hate, hate, the idea of locking myself out of my house.  Especially since when my husband goes out of town he does so for three days at a time.  We have a secret key hidden out back in our wood fence.  Don’t tell anyone okay?

I’m psyched to hear you’re interested in running a 5k.  I’m actually following the couch to 5k thing.  I was a runner in college, so I should be able to push myself but I just need someone or something to tell me what I should be doing.  At least for now.  You should do it too and we can both do a 5k in October!

About the brownies.  Don’t feel bad.  I’m fixing to go inside and make chocolate no bake cookies.  And I’m home alone for four days.  Yup.

Finally, could you maybe send me an email and give me some details about owning your own blog?  I’m not trying to be nosey, but I’m thinking about doing it for myself.

Take care!
