Recently Will and I decided enough was enough. We could no longer continue living our life like this:
We needed help.
We needed guidance.
We needed an intervention that only holy water, Dr. Phil, and a Costco size box of Midol (that was mostly for me, not Will) could cure.
So, what did we do, you ask?
We broke down and hired a maid.
Yeah, I know what you’re thinking, I’m a spoiled lazy brat that can’t take care of my own house…
...
Hmm, I was going to say, “but you’re wrong,” but maybe you’re on to something…
For about 80 bucks a month you can hire a maid (or what I like to call, “The Little Fairy That Makes Our House Pretty When We’re Not Looking") to not only clean your house, but improve your marriage.
Who would have thought!?
I swear, I haven’t consitently been in a better mood since Taco Bell brought back the Cheesy Gordita Crunch. I’m happy, Will is happy, the house is happy, the dogs are happy...well...they’re sort of on the dumb side and are always happy, but we’ll go with it.
The day before she came I made Will scour the house with me, because, well I couldn’t let her think we actually needed her. The house was perfect. I’m certain she walked in and said, “What the crap do they need me for?” However, that first time was the only time I’ve cleaned for the lady coming to clean. She’s been on her own ever since.Guys, it’s freaking amazing. It really is like the Cleaning Fairy came and visited my house and knew all the right places to clean and place things. Ahhh, I love her. After seeing all she did the first day I told Will he seriously might up and leave me for this 53 year old Indian woman.
So, now that I have this lady coming once a week I’ve been putting up little “tests” for her to see if she notices and cleans what I left (am I a dork or what!?). A little smudge on the mirror, a candy wrapper on the table- get it? Will thinks I’m so weird for testing our cleaning lady, but it’s sort of funny to me. I’m sure I’ll stop once I finally get used to her and trust that she’s not parading around the house wearing my underwear on her head and rocking out to Poison with our wooden spoons, but until then- I test.

So, yay for you for having a cleaning lady!! I’m jealous 
haha that’s so funny, testing the cleaning lady. I tested the auto detail shop once ... and they failed. They do not go over every inch of your vehicle. Anyway, love the maid. Have you considered hiring her and brining her home when you move?
