I'm Mrs. Oh My Gosh That Brittny's Shameless

I Can Only Hope Pepto is Provided at Orientation.

Tomorrow is the first day at my new job.

The job that brought us half way around the world.

(yeah, no pressure, right)

I seriously feel the need to throw up all over myself

and then cry

and then maybe vomit some more.

I hate new things. I am so nervous, and- as previously stated- I have this deep rooted desire to relentlessy blow into a paper bag,

and then puke all over my brand new black shiny heels.

Well- scratch the shoe pukage.

But seriously- I’m that knoted up.

Why can’t I work with you guys!?!

Uh- probably because output would be minimal.

Yeah, that’s why I have to go to a real job I guess.

Say a prayer for me. It would totally suck to lose my Kashi Go Lean Crunch all over my new boss’ desk.

(ew sidenote: how gross would it be to vomit Kashi!? And then multiply the Awful Factor by about 135 because of the fact that you did it on a desk. That belongs to your boss. Oh guys- I’m totally not making myself feel better.)

Alright, so here I go. Entering the workforce in America.

Off to work…

Oh and PS- you’ll never guess in a million years what happened.

We got the house.

Yes.

THE House.

Yep- remember in my last post how I said it was going to haunt the other buyers? Uh, well it must have. We got it. Long story. Hopefully I’ll get to share it with you guys soon. I’m so excited though! More to come…

Oh and PPS- I totally started commenting on blogs this weekend! Yay me! I have about 5 million I still need to catch up with, but hey. Baby steps.

<3

Congrats on the house.  I am so glad that the house came to life so soon, and haunted them out and you in.  Hope to see you soon.

You got the house!?  YAYYYYY!!!!!

Congrats!!  I want lots of pictures!!!

You’ll be fine in your new job!  Good luck!!

Ok seriously?  I can’t believe you posted all this crap about being nervous about your new job when you hadn’t even told us that you guys GOT THE HOUSE!!!!!!  haha Congrats!!!

Ok, so being barfy about your new job is completely valid, and I would be too.  But you’ll be great.  They will all love you.  You may even love them more than you do us.  I sincerely hope not..but I suppose it is possible.  And you are right...working with us would not be productive at all!

WHAT?!  YOU GOT THE HOUSE?!  EEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

No, I’m not excited for you and Will or anything smile hehe BTW, I’m so FREAKING excited for you and Will smile WOOT!

I hate new things too - I’ll be thinking of you, and praying you don’t puke your Kashi on your boss’ desk, eww!  Have a fantastically, wonderful first day at work!

PS - Do you think I used enough exclamation marks?!  haha

I’m so excited to hear that somehow things worked out with THE house.  I was just telling my DH your tale of woe this weekend.  I can’t wait to hear the story.

As for tomorrow, I’ll say a prayer that all goes well for you.  I have no doubt, though, that you’ll do fine.  You handled a move to and from Kuwait, so what’s a new job?  Just in case, don’t eat Kashi for breakfast!

Oh, and did you see I went private?  I sent you an email, but email me if you need a new invite!

Ok, so tomorrow. Just breathe! All will be so good! I promise. You are home. You have dealt with so much that you can certainly handle tomorrow. And tomorrow is about as hard as it gets. HAve fun! Enjoy this new adventure. Be yourself! Your whole self smile It will make the new transition in this new job so muc easier. HAve fun toosmile

Yay for your house! One way or another, it was bound to work out, but how great is it that it went the way you wanted? Awesome!

Don’t sweat the job. They are all going to think you are so exotic and worldly for having lived abroad - in the Middle East, no les - and they will go out of their way to welcome you.

You’ll do great. Can’t wait to hear all about it.

So happy that the realtor (of doom) didn’t ruin getting the house for you.  But still you need to make a complaint to the Board of Realtors or something.  No way should that have happened, NO WAY!

I am excited for your new job Brit.  Just take it one day at a time, seriously!  You’ll be wonderful!

Good Luck!

Gr!  Second attempt!  I think I originally said something like, “how awesome you got the house!  I can’t wait to hear how it happened.  Good luck on your first day!  I know you will do great.” Or some such thing like that. Haha.

Take a deep breath! I know starting a new job is pretty much mortifying. You’re going to be fabulous though. They’ll love you. Who wouldn’t?

and...CONGRATS on the house! What amazing news! I guess it was meant to be after all. wink I can’t wait to hear more about the house and the job. Post some pictures darnit.

Posted by  on  06/14  at  10:08 AM

Hey there stranger (that was a dig at my not commenting/posting, not yours!)....  since this is the only post with open comments, I wanted to tel you congratulations on moving, on the house, on the job, on P coming to visit you (are y’all still going on that cruise?), and let you know I am praying for you as you get used to your new life back in the states.  Oh, and to let you know (in case you hadn’t heard) that I had a baby 17 days ago.  :o) She’s a cutie… So that’s all.  Can’t wait to read more about “new B-Love life” soon.

Posted by Annie  on  06/20  at  03:02 PM

I’m doing the same as Annie above - commenting on the post with open comments! smile

I (and I’m sure the rest of blog-land) have missed you dearly!  I’m glad you and P are visiting and having a wonderful time together.  I truly CANNOT wait to see pictures of your new house (YIPPEE!) and for you to be semi-caught up so you open comments up (so I don’t have to scroll to the bottom of the page to find a post with open comments).

I’ll be checking back about 50 times a day for the house pictures smile
