Last night Will and I went on a date.
I know you’re probably- in your most monotone voice- all, “Woo, how exciting, do you want a cookie?”
Yeah, yeah, whatever, but the truth is- it was a big deal in the B-Love house. Aside from the times we were on vacation this Christmas, I don’t think Will and I have been on a date by ourselves since last fall. Oooh! I bet I can tell you the exact time! YES! Yes I can! It was on this day. Crazy what you can remember, huh? See- blogs are great for your memory!
Will and I are serious bums. Well, notsomuch me- more Will- but don’t tell him I said that. If it’s not covered in chocolate, covered on ESPN, or covered by pig skin, Will is pretty much uninterested.
We only get out once during the weekend and when we do so, it’s always with my parents.
Ooh- insert side story-
Yeah, I’m not exaggerating on the “always with my parents” comment either. Do you guys know that we went over to my parent’s house on Valentine’s Day night!? Yes, seriously. I’m not lying. Polygraph me. We sure did. We ate dinner, booked our cruise, and lounged around. Granted, it was a lovely evening and I totally love my family, but it was VALENTINE’S DAY! My gosh. As if that weren’t oddball enough, Will and I went out the following night for a fancy dinner at the Terrace Grill… along with my family. Thankfully I still have P here (please! PLEASE don’t go to college!). See, when my parents get together with us, all they do is talk about work. Boo. P and I spend the whole evening talking on our own, while Will and my parents go on and on about work. Don’t get me wrong-I’m SO fortunate to have them here, and truth be known, I love going out with them every weekend- but I do sometimes miss Will and I getting dressed up to go out on our own. Oh- and don’t tell my parents about this little side story.
Couple that with me having to work on the weekends lately, and I haven’t been all that eager to get out more than once a weekend either. So- aside from our standing dinner date out with my parents, Will and I generally order Papa Johns and laze on the couch watching a box set of our favorite shows.
We’re so exciting. I think I’ve mentioned that before.
Anyway, it was so nice to actually go out on our own and talk and laugh and flirt. It was like we were on a real date (ha ha)! We went out to TGIFridays for dinner. We talked about our days, and debated whether Kuwaitis just like to celebrate during this weekend or whether they’re motivated by pure patriotism. We talked about work, and moving, and of course- football. We talked about the same things we probably would have discussed had we been at home, only we weren’t on the couch, we weren’t in sweats, and we weren’t in the process of changing discs from Season 5 of 24 to Season 6. I think that makes a difference! I told Will we’ll have to try to go out at night more often- and running errands doesn’t count.
I don’t know why, but it seems as though my dear husband enjoys seeing me sitting on the couch without make up, hair a mess, stuffing my face with a cheese stick, and picking my underwear out of my unflattering gray sweatpants. So sexy, right? We’re going to have to change his ways and get him out of the house more.
Last night was a good start!
<3
Alright lovelies- as this is my blog, I’m free and able to shamelessly plug whatever cause I so choose.
With that being said- roll your eyes, shake your head, and just read.
Oh- and this has absolutely nothing to do with anything controversial so don’t roll your eyes too much.
I’m making my last Mary Kay order for a few months so if any of you lovely ladies are interested, take a look at the Mary Kay Site to see all the great new products we have available. I love (I mean truly and seriously <3) the Nourishine glosses, the Targeted Action Eye Revitalizer is amazing, and the Microdermabrasion Set is great. Plus, the site is fun. I love putting makeup on the models!
Alright, I could drone on and on but I get this greasy feeling I’m begining to sound like a used car salesman. Trust me though- it’s good stuff. Anyway, if you’re interested, I’m ordering on Sunday (Saturday US time) so let me know if you want anything. blove@theblovelife.com
Okay, I’m done sleazing my Mary Kay around.
Have a good weekend!
(Blowing on dice) C’mon blogger’s block- get outta here already!

I’m so glad you and Will had a real date...just the two of you. It’s something you need here and there. And with all the working you’ve done, I can understand not getting out too much. Have a great weekend!
