I'm Mrs. Oh My Gosh That Brittny's Shameless

As it (TV) Stands…

Oh guys, I wish I had a camera with me yesterday.

Will and I went furniture shopping to get a simple TV stand and it took all day long. All Day. Seriously!

The poor guy was so frustrated with me.

We went to literally 7 stores and I stayed at each entirely too long.

“Why are you wasting the salesmen’s time? You already told me you didn’t like anything here?” Will would ask.

He was right- but that didn’t stop me.

Instead I let him drone on and on about crap I would never put in my house because I’m entirely too nice sometimes.

“Be firm,” Will would say.

Yeah. Um, that didn’t work out too well yesterday.

Oh and while we’re on the subject of salespeople. Seriously! You would have thought we were in the market for a brand new Lexus or something! These people were all over us! Practically making out with us at each fake living room set where we would we stop.

Um- think unneutered dogs.

Anyway, the crazed leg humping salesmen were hungry for a sale and the longer I was around them, the more annoyed I would get.

All I wanted was a stupid TV stand! GAH!

Will wasn’t much help either. After about the 4th hour he was spent. He had no idea what I was looking for (Ha- I had no idea what I was looking for. “I’ll know it when I see it, “ I would tell him), and was ready for me to make a decision already.

Wow- welcome home, right? The joys of young homeowners buying furniture.

Speaking of young homeowners- that is TOTALLY where Will and I need to hangout every Saturday night (think the Doug and Carrie at Lowes episode)! There is so much potential couplefriend meat there it’s not even funny! Seriously- Will and I should totally spend out Saturdays “looking for a couch” or “browsing to find the right dining room set.” Seriously- there is a world of young married couples out there and they all flock to furniture stores on the weekend.

Will thinks I’m crazy.

I totally think I’m on to something.

As much as I was annoyed yesterday, and exhausted from looking at wooden “things” so much that they all looked the same, it was sort of an okay day. It was nice spending time with Will- even though I’m postivie he didn’t have near as much fun as I did (um, or how about no fun at all). Ugh- just think what it will be like to buy a real piece of furniture! It took me hours to find “nothing!” Wait until I have to buy “something!”

Oh- and I feel as though I should mention that after shopping for hours we went back to the very first store we were at and bought the first thing I liked.

Yeah, because I’m a woman and can’t make a decision.

Adventures of shopping in America. So much darn fun.

<3 Stay tuned. I’m actually blogging everyday next week.
